At the School you can take bachelor´s in sound engineering. This involves access to sound eqipment for both live use and recording. There is something for even the most demanding requirements. Research into sound and music is also carried on.
Black Box
This is a multiple use arena for everything from musical theathre to dans and various performance events. Up to 300 people can be accomodated standing, or sitting on a telescopic grandstand or flat floor furniture. The room has a strong wooden floor and an orchestra pit. The room also has every conceivable connection to the control room and the School´s audiovisual studios.
Variable acoustics in the large concert hall
The large concert hall has a stage area of 10 x 18 metres and a maximum audience capacity of 650. The specially designed ceiling (700 square metres) can be raised and lowered, which means that the acoustic conditions can be varied depending on the event. The hall has two mixing desks, a smaller one that is centrally located and a larger one further back, fitted, of course with splitters for both live and recording use. The hall also has a fully equipped, insulated control room for sound recording. If you want to record video, cables are laid to the TV-studio located in the School. The hall is also designed so that equipment can be moved in easily. And there are rehersal rooms and side areas with a lot of space. Adjacent to the large concert hall are both an airy foyer with lots of space for the audience during the intervals and a restaurant.
